Born and raised in Southeast Texas, Renea's love of and passion for makeup started early on. She was constantly playing with whatever makeup that she could get her hands on. At the age of 10 she was able to put her natural skills to use by applying the cat eye liner every Friday to the members of the drill team her sister was a part of. Throughout school she continued to do the makeup for friends and family for special occasions.

 

Renea's passion then led her to Austin, a city that she was always drawn to. There she enrolled in Avenue Five Institute for Esthetics to learn more about the perfect base for any makeup application- well cared for skin. While at Avenue Five she also met Kassy Holly. Her pursuit of more knowledge also led her to Sephora. During her time there, Renea joined management to further her skills as an artist and to help train and develop the skills of others. There she also received extensive training and trade secrets in San Francisco and Las Vegas for brands such as Make Up For Ever, NARS, Laura Mercier, and Smashbox.

Since moving to Austin, Renea has also had the incredible opportunity to work with a local special effects makeup studio. She has been able to train under Emmy-nominated artists whose work is included in many feature films. Renea has also worked on multiple commercials, including Super Bowl ad campaigns for Pepsi and Chevrolet.

 

Influenced by actresses such as Rita Hayworth and Vivien Leigh, Renea has always been influenced by vintage beauty. Along with vintage looks, enhancing a client's natural beauty has always been one of her favorite things. Her skills range from natural beauty looks and dramatic evening makeup to special effects looks including prosthetics.

Renea enjoys spending time with her husband and pets when she is not working. She also enjoys seeing live music, working on different craft projects, and studying comparative mythology.
